Home care services

Home care services are community based services that provide trained domestic care workers who can assist with cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping; and general household support, such as paying bills and accounts or assisting with telephone calls. Home care services can usually provide assistance with meal preparation and/or delivery. There are a number of services providing home care services (one of which is the Home Care Service of NSW).

How do I use it?

Home care services can help you and your family maintain your independence and quality of life. These services also provide some relief and respite for family members and friends who have stepped up to the carer role. To find services in your local area you can use the Find a Service feature on the myagedcare website (even if you are under 65), contact your local council or speak with your MND NSW regional advisor. Some government funding may be available but eligibility criteria apply.
