Home modification and maintenance services (HMMS) service directory
Directory of services that can assist with home modifications. HMMS services assist people to live safely and independently in their own home by modifying the home, to create an environment that maximises the person's independence and safety. Modifications are also undertaken when such work supports the carer to maintain their caring role. For example, putting rails up in a bathroom or replacing stairs with a ramp.

How do I use it?
Use the service directory to find local providers who are part of the Government Home and Community Care Program. All home modification work must be prescribed by an occupational therapist. The maintenance program varies greatly from one HMMS to another as some services are funded to do maintenance work, like lawn-mowing and gardening, and some are not. Your local HMMS will be able to advise you of the maintenance work they can do for you. Eligibility criteria apply.
